My name is Lee Welton, and I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, personal trainer, nutrition coach, and thru-hiker.
In preparation for my 2018 thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, I was stunned by the statistics of hikers who abandon their hikes due to injury. While injuries may not be preventable, the risk can be reduced with better training, nutrition, and recovery throughout the process.
I spent the summer of 2024 solo thru hiking the 1250 mile long Pacific Northwest Trail, which spans from Glacier National Park to the Pacific Ocean. It was a truly amazing experience, just as the PCT was in 2018.
In my free time, you can find me exploring Idaho with my wife, fly rod, and rescue dog, Sawyer.
